Session 10  

Quindi, 26th Day of the Sailor

Reconnected with a drunk Galator
—> He realized he wasn’t dreaming, Thad is 65% sure the things he is experiencing are real
—> Galator was unsuccessful at rioting
—> Musky still has Thad convinced Junipurr is a mushroom
—> We continued to discuss what to do with the rock   Ink is against the rock going to the wizard (Belfras Silvergaze)
Musky suggested taking it to Oakheart - nearest town to Ravenwood is 144miles+ away, and then additional travel time to get to Oakheart - will take at least 2 weeks Rhyke made a sledge
All agreed on the temple of the hunter   Rhyke put the rock down on a stump,
—> tinkering/building a new sledge     Thad cast Turn the Faithless (channel divinity) on the rock,
—> sensed an immense evil from the rock or connected to it that pushed back, causing Thad to stumble back and pull his sword after scrambling to his feet     Musky attempts to turn the rock into a mushroom with his Staff of Mushrooms
—> when the staff made contact Musky heard a voice in his head say “Release me” asked if he wanted to see the world burn and be destroyed
—> felt sharp pain in his head, as something “reached out” towards him
—> yells “Not food! Not food”   Thad want to hit the rock with his sword   Rock knew Musky likes decay/entropy   Musky uses Word of Radiance on the rock, while aglow some of the crags in the rock became visible, like the darkness was dispelled, no damage seemed to occur   Discussion about where and how to transport the rock continued until Zoda heard large footsteps   Animals still avoiding the rock   Escaped cultist appeared with ogre, ogre is also showing signs of mutation   Fight begins:
—> Ink baned the ogre, cultist saved
—> ogre spewed acidic stomach contents after being attacked
—> Beretan wanted to “purify food and drink” the stomach contents, Musky wanted to grow mushrooms   One of the tentacle attacks caused Musky to go blind   Zoda killed the ogre by punching him in the groin     Thad searched the ogre,
—> noticed small flecks of black and darkness similar to the cultists we fought before   Musky wanted to consume the ogre, debated with Thad who strong advised against it   Bews searched the cultist,   Trouble moving the rock on to the sledge
—> Rhyke tried to use his staff to maneuver the meteor on the sledge, it rolled back and bumped him causing him to flee in terror
—> Thad took off after him while leaving Beretan in charge of keeping Musky from eating the corpses, Ink cast message to try and call Rhyke back
—> Rhyke stops running after he gets 120 ft away, Thad tries to tackle him but just ends up bear hugging him
—> Beretan gave Musky rum to keep him from eating the bodies
—> Rhyke frightened, cannot return to where the rock is
—> Everyone brainstorms moving the rock. Ink suggests digging a hole to cause the rock to land in a sack/cloak so that it can be placed in the pram   Headed back to town,
—> Chaos is over, few protestors still around, most of the fires out, and a few buildings damaged and destroyed, most townsfolk were trying to prevent damages
—> Had a guard send a runner to Copperbeard letting him know we have returned and to meet us at the temple of the Hunter
—> Damage primarily occurred in Trade district, mostly businesses damaged, residential left mostly unaffected
  At the temple of the hunter,
—> Greeted by red-skinned tiefling (Yanise Cliffroot)
—> Zoda sends message to request a private room
In a private room:
—> Explain to the tiefling that we found the source/reason of the dreams, - it’s an immense evil and seems to be coming from the rock, that the rock is connected to the Whisperer
—> seems very taken aback at the name
—> explained about the cultists and the ogre,   —> Rhyke and Junipurr receive care for their anxiety/fears the rock caused   Copperbeard arrives
—> “You all have a lot of fucking explaining to do”
