The Plague

After The Party met with The Plague they immediately engaged in combat. Though the combat lasted for a long time, it was a decisive victory for The Plague as he had knocked out all of the party members and Kuchek. He then stole the Decanter of Endless Water and infected it with the Breath of Madness and then departed, leaving the party to die.

Kuchek Goralin (The Doctor)

Kuchek fought with the party against The Plague—showing that he truly was an ally of the party. However, when he realized that the battle would not be won that day, he used magic to feign death, making it appear as though he was quickly knocked out in battle. After the fight Kuchek arose and revived the rest of the party. The party was suspicious of the fact that Kuchek had known the name of the Plague and continued to question him further on it. They soon discovered that he was once part of the Cult. Now he had, seemingly, gave up on the Cult as he believed they had gone too far. The party also learned of Kuchek's origin and motivation to joining the Cult. Kuchek, in his youth, had been bullied a lot due to his race. In one specific instance he was being beaten by a group of Wood elves his brother had tried to save Kuchek and was stabbed by the aggressors. Kuchek grew up to be a doctor, though he never forgot his brothers untimely demise. Many years later the same wood elf that had slain his brother had fallen into his care. Kuchek was going to revive him as he had looked past his prior crimes, until he called Kuchek a "Lizard-Brain", which pushed Kuchek to the edge using dark magic to slay the Wood elf where he had lain. Kuchek was then approached by his brother—whom the party knows as The Poisoner—and joined the cult. That was, until The Plague took it too far, in that moment Kuchek decided to abandon the Cult and help the party.

Tandoril Laraethan

After the Party made it to the surface they found the Wistonlandic Army clearing the town of all the infected, lead by High King Tandoril. The guard asked them what they were doing and what had happened, however, the party responded with side answers not paying much attention. Elandril, seeing his father, tried to escape, but Heigolor, suffering a head injury, called him out by name. The guard then said that Prince Elandril was with the King at that very moment. King Tandoril jumped down from the wall he was standing on and made his way over the rooftops to Elandril. They got into an argument and Tandoril slapped Elandril across the face, leaving a scratch. The Party also noticed that his eyes seemed to change into bright serpent-like pupils. The King then told them to leave—and they did—to live another day and they headed for the capital.

Dorcan Ithi

On the way to the capital the party was ambushed by assassins led by Elandril's former branch commander, Dorcan Ithi. Elandril and Heigolor recognized them as their old comrades from when they were in a thieves guild. Elandril attempted to approach Dorcan, as they were previously friends, but Dorcan punched him in the face. Elandril recoiled, confused, before Dorcan revealed that after Elandril had disappeared—presumably to Greenfell—the Chameleon had stepped back into the public eye as Elandril. Dorcan and a few of his lieutenants attempted to confront Elandril, confused as to why he was back in the Castle he hated so much, but they were quickly slain by the Chameleon—with Dorcan being the only survivor. After making amends, Dorcan and the rest of the assassins led them to their home base and gave them safe passage to the heart of Watlema, the capital. There they took solitude in the Haven where Heigolor's brain injury was healed.

Miridi

After making it safely to the Haven the party met with the leaders of the Twisted Blade. After being thoroughly interrogated, the leaders asked Oswald a code phrase to which he responded correctly. Suddenly, all of the leaders turned into one Copper dragon, who revealed herself to be Midiri—the Metallic Patron of the Copper Gem in Micnik's possession. She expressed her concerns of Tandoril being a puppet of the Cult because of the Cult member known as the "Serpent," who was renowned for their suggestion magic. Miridi also seemed to believe that an Old One of the Cult was within the capital. After that she allowed the party to stay in the Haven and continue their work with it as their base of operations.
