Session 1: Animal Control Report

General Summary

Meeting at the Tavern

We began our journey in a quaint tavern, where we encountered each other for the first time. Our introductions were cut short by an unexpected attack—floating severed heads burst forth from some patrons, causing chaos. We banded together and managed to defeat the heads, earning the attention of the local authorities.  

Tasked with Investigating

We were soon tasked with investigating the cause of the attack and were directed to the village of Nightfall Glen. The village had been plagued by strange disappearances, and we were to find out what had happened to the missing children and people.  

Journey to Nightfall Glen

On our way to Nightfall Glen, we were attacked by animals with glowing red eyes—monkeys, weasels, and even skunks. It was unsettling, to say the least. Upon reaching the village, we checked in with the local inn and began asking around for information.  

The Misschien Family

We discovered that the Misschien children had recently vanished. We spoke with their family and found a tuft of black fur and a chipped tooth in the children’s room, but there were no signs of a struggle. The townsfolk mentioned that a trail had been found, but the search was abandoned due to the danger posed by the red-eyed animals.  

Losing the Trail and Encountering a Gorilla

Determined, we set out to follow the trail anyway. Unfortunately, we lost it and were ambushed by a red-eyed gorilla. We fought valiantly and managed to defeat it, but decided to retreat and rest for the night back in the village.  

Return to the Trail

The next day, we tried to follow the trail again but lost it once more. We decided to head to the coast of Lake Selenthe to see what we could find. There, we stumbled upon old ruins.  

Encounter with the Rams and Monkeys

Within the ruins, we encountered aggressive rams and a swarm of monkeys. We fought off the creatures, sustaining some injuries but managing to hold our ground.  

Face to Face with a Vampire Spawn

As we explored further into the ruins, we came face to face with a vampire spawn. The sight of this creature sent a chill through us, and we prepared ourselves for whatever might come next. The vampire spawn had not yet attacked or spoken, leaving us in a tense standoff...
