| Looking for Players
Supporting Cast
Four centuries ago the crusader kings of the unity faith landed on these shores, through blood and brutality these forces pushed the indigenous peoples of these islands to its fringes. These forces eventually settled into the three kingdoms we know today, Northumbar, Merchantia and farsax.   The indigenous peoples were never politically unified due to a lack of hierarchical social structure and to this day are more a collection of people who share a culture and follow the old ways. They are collectively known as the free peoples, and inhabit the lands of Kumri, Cornwallis and the old north.   The wars between all of these players have continued almost uninterrupted since the early years of crusade, however recent invasion from orcish Vikings have forced those living on the island to form an uneasy peace while this new threat is assessed.   These treaties signed forty winters past have kept the warring factions of Prudain in an uneasy peace. However in recent years independent human forces led by so called ‘Marcher Lords’ have seized lands belonging to the free peoples in the name of the one true faith. These lord were not signatories of the treaties and thus declare themselves above its restrictions, emissaries have been sent to the sayson kingdoms to demand answers, and while it seems certain that they offer no political support to these marcher lords, they are all quite prepared to profit from their exploits.   The dwarves have sought to remain neutral through all of this unrest, claiming these wars are not theirs to fight, the free peoples feel betrayed, but cannot afford to cut off all ties as the dwarves remain strong trade allies in these trying times   The times are uncertain, orc Vikings raid every shore, the Sayson kingdoms wait patiently for cracks to appear in their rivals armour so that they can lay claim to all of Prudain, and the free peoples seek the peace they fought so hard to achieve and their right to live life how they always have.
