Session 1: A Re-unioin Report

General Summary

Thirteen months… It’s been thirteen months since you and your fellow companions vanquished the evil slave lords of the Pomarj and witnessed as their city Suderham devoured in a flood of lava and ash. Protectors of the displaced, and shepherds to the defenseless, you guided the recently liberated slaves back to Ulek, back to freedom. It’s been thirteen months since you and your fellow companions were summoned to the Crown Prince’s court, to be recognized, celebrated and thanked for your brave and heroic deeds for the free peoples of the land. Parades, banquets, decrees, a reward in gold, the title of Thane, estates, and a magical ring to denote your title and status to those around you for years to come. All provided by the dwarven Crown Prince, the elven ambassador of the Duchy of Ulek, and the human ambassador of the County of Ulek in gratitude of your deeds. It’s been thirteen months since you have taken residence in your new homes and/ lives; tending to the daily needs of running your contemporary lives. Overseeing your estate, attending festivals and celebrating Marihwynd, Needfest, Fireseek (New Years Day 581CY), Heartsday, Growfeast, The Union of Marrage between Quarllan and Airewen, Tanabat, Beory’s Day, Harnekiah, St Cuthbert’s Day, Richfeast, Brewfeast, etc. Settling into a new life void of caverns, tombs, dungeons, parlous traps, and dangerous beasts; A life of social events, warm food and beds, a somewhat safe and predictable life, something for many is the just end to a long and arduous journey, but for you it does not feel complete. A restlessness grows over your soul; a feeling that you have not yet come to the end of your adventuring. That there is so much more to do, to explore, to discover….   It’s been thirteen months and 3 days when a massager arrived with a letter bearing the wax seal of the Thane of Ulek.   The letter is from Armil, in Gryrax requesting a re-union of the Thanes of Ulek to discuss a matter.   At the meeting Armil explains that he has been summoned to the Great Temple of St. Cuthbert, in the Free City of Greyhawk. The High Priestess wishes to see him, however the exact nature of the request is unknown. Armil extended an invitation to travel with him to the great city as an opportunity to once again journey together and possibly discover an an adventure or two.   The entire party agreed and proceeded home to their estates to ready their supplies and make arrangements for the trip.
