Session 2: The Journey Report
General Summary
The heroes finish making arrangements for the care of their manors and estates as well as gathering and packing all of their gear that they will be taking on this long trip. Grondahl received an unexpected visitor, a cousin that he had not seen since his childhood, Tuddle Stonefist. At first he was apprehensive of the timing of his family member who he has not seen or heard from since his youth, but then again it was not like he had a permanent residence to be found at prior to 13 months ago. After a while they were talking like it was old times, reminiscing about the past and discussing their travels and adventures since. Grondahl still not convinced about his cousins overall skills in a scrap and curious, invited Tuddle on his pending trip. Tuddle enthusiastically agreed and like the rest converge on Gryrax. The day after their travel the Thane’s boarded the carrack, ‘The Fallen Star’, and set sail for Haskenport. Two uneventful days later the ship sailed into Haskenport’s harbor and docked. The adventurers got off and met with a half-orc woman, who apparently was in charge of dock security. She apparently knew Evets and was expecting your arrival and directed the party to ‘The Emerald Bear’, an Inn located in the Towns ward. The party located the Inn and made themselves comfortable ordering food and drink while one of the barmaids when to inform Evets of his colleagues arrival. After a short reunion and introduction of Tuddle their new member the party settled in to their same antics of interaction and banter, giving each other a hard time, like only longtime friends and family would. Most decided to stay the night in the well-appointed Inn in order to stave off one more night of cramped quarters on a rocking ship. Though most, eager for the challenge and excitement of a conflict found the Inn and town itself to be too quiet, quaint, and backwater for their liking. Instead they turned in, anticipating the beginning of their second leg of their journey to the Jewel of the Flanaess.
