Lucius asks to join the search for Cassia since he is worried about her as a "childhood friend." He also knows Atlas is the one who assassinated Titus's wife, but asks Doc and Leo not to let him know because he finds it amusing to mess with him.
The party splits into 3 groups: 1. Atlas, Lexus, and Doc (The Greatest Circus). 2. Scarlet and Leo (The Temple of Peace). 3. Lucius (taverns, etc.).
Scarlet gives Lucius a tooth he pulled out so that he can speak to him through it. Scarlet is also able to see through it. Meanwhile, Leo and Doc cast Tiny Servant and send them out to look for Cassia during this time.
In the Greatest Circus, Atlas hears of an upcoming battle between two gladiators named Adonis and Astar. One of the gladiators, Adonis, isn't very liked as he has been killing his way up the ranks. No one really knows where he came from or who he is. They are supposed to fight in the Colosseum tomorrow. People are also talking about how gold has been going missing from the Colosseum.
Scarlet and Leo Adopt the Geese
Scarlet and Leo adopt a flock of geese, ducks, and peacocks from the Temple of Peace. Scarlet also leaves an offering of gold for the Goddess of Peace on her altar, asking that she protect the lives of the animals. The offering disappears and is replaced with a trinket despite no one having heard of or received any response from the goddess in over 500 years. The trinket turns out to be a Figurine of Wonderous Power (Horse).
Leo and Scarlet ask the geese to find Cassia, and they end up leading them to the Colosseum after running through a garden full of statues in odd frozen positions and rolling down a hill. They end up buying admission for the fight between Astar and Adonis the next day, as well as sign up for one-on-one fights for the day after. They also buy admission for the geese after some persuasion. (Doc and the others reunited with them here right beforehand.) They decide they will sit with the Scribes since Lexus is a scribe, and it is the easiest place for the geese to sit.
Atlas cut his hair and changed his armor right before they signed up for the Colosseum fights.
Lucius mentions a tavern called the Wicked Wench where they can stay for the night. On the way there, they see an unfinished painting of Adonis surrounded by mythical creatures.
