Chapter 1: Verse 11: Dungeoneering 101 Report

General Summary

Our heroes of Strixhaven continue their mission to sneak into Captain Dapplewing’s Manor and retrieve the mysterious confiscated item Sassy Sally Jane. Cal while entering the foyer disturbed the enchanted coat-racks that began to move and attack the group for trespassing through the closed manor. The party was able to quickly dispatch both the coat-racks and not make too much of a disturbance while doing so. But little Cal in their fright summoned forth a Giant Great Elk to help fight and protect him. Strangely enough, the Elk didn't take up that much space in the very spacious mansion.
But the real trouble came when they moved forward to the grand dining room where a clockwork butler named The Earl yelled at the party for trespassing and began to attack them with his metal server plate. While the melee fighters distracted him, Kiralynn began to tinker and investigate the clockwork construct and open what seemed to be some kind of maintenance panel in his back where some arcane contraption of magic crystals and energies was powering the creature. A mix of colorful crystals with a big, red, inviting and pulsating crystal was in the center; Kiralynn was fascinated and began to try and investigate if she could turn it off or something else. But that investigation was interrupted by Jin who full-on kicked the red crystal button which triggered an emergency defense self-destruct and the butler exploded with a fireball-like boom. Most of the party was knocked down from the blast while a few still conscious members were able to heal and restore the party back to full but their presence was already made as some kind of alarm was triggered and professors were arriving to investigate the disturbance. The party wasted no time and got out of there quickly and made it back to their Dorms.
  The party began a deep discussion about the whole dare to retrieve Sassy Sally Jane and Isri came to the conclusion that she cannot participate in the dare. She has too much at stake at her enrollment at Strixhaven and can't risk losing her studentship to upset her herd or ruin her calling from her God. The rest of the party though is going to attempt it again once the situation cools down a bit and will be asking fellow student Aurora Wynterstarr to join so Isri does not have to worry about letting anyone down in her world.
  Aurora will most likely accept, but what will happen next?
