Supporting Cast
The Watcher Arelon Cromelon
The Watcher, Arelon Cromelon, is Lord Commander of the Order of the Vigilant Eye. A Wood Elf wise beyond her years, she takes a firm but militaristic approach to defending the realms of Faerun from extra-planar threats, most notably the devils of the Nine Hells.
She currently resides in Helm's Hold, the fortified city that the Order of the Vigilant Eye calls home, and has sent the MoM out to find missing tasks among the calamitous events unfolding in Neverwinter Woods.
Frulam Mondath
Not much is currently known about this leader in the Cult of the Dragon beyond her ambitions to raise Tiamat, and her penchant for amateur poetry.....
Gheldrick Foehammer
This wizened old dwarf is widely regarded as the greatest blacksmith in Waterdeep, if not the entire continent. His wares are sturdy and true, built to last, and known to be of the utmost quality and craftsmanship. The MoM encountered him in their first visit to Waterdeep, where he sold them almost all of the armor that they now wear.
Jhartael
A seemingly reformed necromancer, Jhartael was shown mercy at the hands of the Menagerie of Magic and has chosen to offer up what little support he can give in exchange for his life. Jhartael has spent decades alone, traveling to remote locations and advancing his knowledge of necromancy while leeching life where he could do so safely. Endry the Faerie made him promise not to continue the practice, which he seems to be willing to try to do for the time being.
Leosin Erlanthar
A dedicated researcher and academic, Leosin Erlanthar has devoted his life to studying the draconic pantheon and their followers. Leosin found himself at odds with the more fanatical followers, the Cult of the Dragon when trying to discover their intentions regarding a long dead deity, Tiamat, and their plan to bring her back to the material plane. He now works with many organizations who work against the Cult, but also found unexpected allies in the form of the Menagerie of Might, the group who rescued him from the clutches of the Cult outside of Greenest. He continues to research the Cult and their activities while organizing against them.
Naxene Drathis
Naxene currently serves as the Watcher in Goldenfields, a position resembling that of a governorship, although the druids and farmers working the aptly named fields don't see her in that fashion. She spends most days managing the shipments to the various cities that Goldenfields supports and considers the post a backwater, dead end position. When the Cult of the Dragon began their offensive across the coast, she relied on other organizations to help shore up the defenses of Goldenfields. Lucky for her, the Menagerie of Might showed up to help shoulder the weight and deal with several outstanding issues that will only help the farms to flourish in the future.
Sir Aryn of Daggerford
Sir Aryn of Daggerford, Defender of the Knights of Tyr, sits on the leadership council for the Order of Tyr. The title of Defender was given to him after many, many years of service to the order, and as such he is one of the ranking members of the order and entrusted with the training and upbringing of knight initiates when he is not in the field on assignment.
He counts Leosin Erlanthar among his few trusted friends, and when the academic brought the news that the Cult of the Dragon was attempting to release calamity upon the world, he jumped into action, organizing his order to defend the cities they inhabited and also to support any action against the Cult.
The MoM first encountered Sir Aryn at Leosin's home, where he set the party on the path of attempting to bolster the defense of Goldenfields, widely considered to be the breadbasket of the Sword Coast, and particularly of Waterdeep, for fear that the Cult or other nefarious actors would attempt to disrupt the food supply.
While the MoM acted on this information, Sir Aryn led a company of knights and paladins to address continuing attacks along the high road north of Waterdeep. While maneuvering his forces, a vicious red dragon attacked his company, leaving many dead and himself wounded badly.
As of now, the MoM has rescued Sir Aryn, but it remains to be seen if he will make a recovery.
Governor Tarbaw Nighthill
Governor Tarbaw Nighthill of the small trading village of Greenest is an honorable man, working to better the lives of those under his care. A veteran of the War of the Silver Marches, he was given the governorship of Greenest by the Lord's Alliance and tasked with the care of the southernmost reaches of their domains. The Cult of the Dragon saw Greenest as a ripe target early in their quest to gather riches to comprise a hoard worthy of Tiamat, and sought to sack the town. Thanks to Governor Nighthill, his small force of soldiers, and the Menagerie of Might, the Cult was only somewhat successful in their bid to completely sack the town.
Zev
Zev is the proprietor of the Axe Handle Inn and General Store in Kheldell, where the MoM now calls home. She and her son Tanab have called Kheldell home for more than ten years and she has worked tirelessly to improve the community that accepted the two of them.
The Axehandle is the sole business outside of a small sawmill that operates in Kheldell, and it also been the center of the community since it has been operated.
While she accepted the whole party with open arms, she found a certain kinship with Kurin, the party's resident Barbarian and Half Orc. The two of them seem to share some experience with their full blooded Orc brethren....
