After Party Report

General Summary

After the murder of Thalra, a pall is cast over the remainder of the evening. Karma, understandably upset, asks to move to a different hosting area for the remainder of her brief stay.    Something else happens that night however that would be a second headline for a supposed newspaper.  Both Phrowenia and Coranzen were arrested for their crimes, assuredly, but the latter member did not survive the night. In a fit of rage and anger, the Sheriff showed Coranzen their maker. Their body was removed from the premises, being sent home to be prepared for funeral rites (as determined by one of the cultural leaders, though unsure because of his judgement as to what would actually happen). Once the Deputy had witnessed this murder, they turned around and arrested the Sheriff. Officially he was being pursued with counts of murder, assault, larceny and blackmail, as mounds of evidence seemed to appear.  An official statement hadn't been made as to what would happen with the Sheriff, but it seemed as though Arabella would take care of scouting out new members for the council. The party reminds her that the basement was still linked to that location and to keep an eye on it, as evidence showed that Lillith had more than likely returned at some point.    The day ends and Enyo reports to Cora the results of the heist. They had only been partially successful, retrieving just one of the pins, but still replacing the full set with the fakes. Cora seemed to brush this off as another part of the job after realizing the magical insignia of a purple flame was magically attached to the pin that Enyo retrieved. Cora called the job done and thanked Enyo, but seemed distant afterwards. The party briefly makes their way to the monster slayer guild, and picks up a job, getting to know a little more about the job selection process. Two jobs were on the board, stabbed with daggers. One with an increasing bounty on werewolves, and another requesting proof of life from Archivist Korm.    The day continued into afternoon, and the party happened to go to the bakery at the same time they saw Mint. Mint revealed he was going on a trip (something that Cora was upset about, but he promised not to be long) and needed to make his way to the docks. He was hurried and nervous, going to great lengths to avoid the party, but not explaining why. Covered in injuries and limping, this argument was not very persuasive, but he pleaded with Enyo regardless.  It was only when they let him by that they realized he hadn't been as thorough as he thought. Two empty vials were under Mint's bed.  A healing potion.  A vial of Manticore venom.    With this new information, the group pursues Mint faster now, chasing him down into the dock area. He seemed to be heading for an unmanned black and purple skimmer vessel on the water. Simon cast out ice to halt him in his tracks, but Enyo used their action to free Mint, wanting to protect their friend. Mint thanked Enyo with a nod and leapt to the boat which started up on its own and sped off into the distance. Simon argued they were the killer, and couldn't bear to be around Enyo for assisting them. Simon went to the inn and set himself up with a room. Nectarine watched the two of them part, and Enyo continued to wonder what was the truth of the matter.
