Supporting Cast
  • Arno "Glasstaff" Albreck
He was a short, dark-bearded human wizard that was simply known to most as "Glasstaff" for his weapon of choice, a magic staff made of crystal. Arno was initially a member of the Lords' Alliance, who was sent to the town of Phandalin to establish constabulary (as the town did not have a powerful authority). Arno broke ties with the Lord's Alliance, and created the Redbrands and taking his infamous moniker, Glasstaff. He then collaborated partner known as Black Spider and as they shared ideas and resources, Glasstaff offers his apprentice to work for Black Spider for a time. Glasstaff was ultimately killed in battle against the same adventurer's that Gundren hired.
  • Black Spider
A partner to Glasstaff in the machinations to kidnap Gundren and seek out the discovery the Rockseeker brothers were trying to secure.
  • Gundren Rockseeker
One of the 3 dwarven brothers that claims to have discovered the Wave Echo Cave. He excitedly rushed back to Neverwinter to gather supplies and gear, and hire a party of adventurers to haul the equipment to Phandalin. However on his way to Phandolin he and his hired guard, Sildar Hallwinter, were waylaid by goblins and Gundren was taken away to Cragmaw Castle on orders of a figure known as Black Spider.
  • Sildar Hallwinter
Despite his restrained and almost cold mannerisms and speech, Sildar was kind-hearted and sincere, although lacking in confidence and charisma. He was generally risk-averse, although still willing to enter into potentially dangerous situations when no one else dared. He wished to see the town of Phandalin prosper and to ensure that innocents—even fools—never came to any harm. Nearly 50 years old he is ready for retirement when the right circumstances allow.
