The Adventure ||: The Brim Report

General Summary

The 2 travel to the middle of the lake and are snatched by a massive creature. They wake up on a beach, they see two figures about 15 feet in front of them. The human is called David while the dwarf is called Goliath. they travel with them to a "village" called Lavanberry. It was destroyed by The Titian Stonefall, a war long past, that war destroyed the once glistening kingdom. As they travel to Lavanberry they ask David questions, they learned that no one else was found at the beach, Davids' mother was lured beneath the waters while on a fishing trip with Davids' father. It dragged her underneath and left his father scared forever, he [Davids Dad] refuses to talk about it. They also learned that the legendary necromancer came to their old kingdom, and sent the titans upon it. As they travel to the village they see the villagers, some cheering and others jeering. A boy walks up to them and shows them their tavern/inn. It was built after Stonefall and medium size. Their room is on the top floor (there are only two) and the first one to the left. As they open it they see the seen of the dirty, sandy room. As they spend time adjusting to their new (not forever) home they hear a rattling breath and footsteps leading to the door. A note is slipped underneath and the breathing stops, no footsteps are heard going back. The note reads Meet me when the sun is far but, see me when the clouds are high. It seems like you've been smart enough to see this. Simply travel when it's dark. There's an oasis West of here, don't be afraid when you meet me, I will simply be your friend. -Cobra Suddenly on the note writing in yellowish-red starts appearing, words like "HELP ME", "NO ONE'S LISTENING", "I CAN'T LEAVE" stand out to them. Abruptly Kaywa remembers her years as an Acolyte, an oasis South-West of a destroyed kingdom, now a village, and maybe something to do with a beast. Quickly Kaywa goes into a daze, her eyes gloss over. She starts walking out of the inn, Billy quickly follows her out, she, dazedly walks to the library. It has an impressive height, it towers over them at 60ft tall. The left-wing burnt and destroyed, the right with paint strokes of burns. As soon as they walk in the smell of burned books rushes in their noses. Thousands of years of knowledge destroyed in days. They see a glowing scripture in the back, they quickly rush to it, it says The oasis isn't far from here If you hurry you can catch it, only when the note blooms. They look around to see if any book titles have an oasis in when Billy spots an artifact with 2 Sandscripters [Sandscripters are creatures that create the hills and oasis in the desert, they look sandy with hard scales, they live in the deserts and are usually kind and soft.] intertwinings, its a chandler in a donut shape with a spout coming out of the left side. It has a dark and muddy coloring. Billy holds the note to the glass and sees the water inside shimmer, before Kaywa can say anything he accidentally slips and pulls it down. Suddenly the floor below them drops into an oasis. When they hit the water it cushions them, it almost seems like it was waiting for them. The liquid inside the artifact is gold and shiny, it pulls itself out and hovers in a small ball over the note that Billy pulled out. Eventually, a small note falls out, Kaywa opens it, it says Run before it can get you They roll for a Strenght Save, both make it out before the water shoots upwards in a giant jet of oasis water. They soon realize they were sitting on a platform, a giant fish-like creature comes with the water with a mouth open wide. It's blue and purple with jets of orange, a small medallion is caught on one of its' scales. It is loosened by the water and falls into Kaywas' hands. On the front it says "David", she opens it and a carving of what they presume to be Davids' mother is on the inside, to the left if a message for him. "To David, you always have a special place in my heart until the end." A small piece of parchment covers the rest of the note. It reads "Nice to meet you." Kaywa uncovers the rest of the note, scratched into the medallion it reads, "BEWARE OF THE MADALION." As they stand there they hear footsteps, and a rattling breath, almost like a cobras tail.
