This image tells the story of The Desolation of the Crystal Vale, where a once beautiful, natural scene was darkened by night, and how true balance was eventually restored.   I originally hand drew this (it's an A4 coloured pencil drawing), but then tweaked and edited it to get the desired outcome, and smooth over my obvious imperfections as an artist. It also means I was able to make a digital version that scales much better than a hand-drawn one.
