Follow buttons are a great tool to build a community around your content and yourself. Here's how to use them!
World follow button
Follow these steps to add a button to follow your world:
- Open your world settings by clicking the gear icon button at the bottom of the sidebar and then the double gear icon.
- On the right, click on Open Advanced Tools & Options and click on "World Widgets".
- There, copy the "follow world button" and paste it anywhere on World Anvil to embed the follow button.
This button will only be displayed to logged-in users who aren't already following your world. World followers will get notifications when you send article updates using the "notify followers" button in the article editor.
Personal follow button
To add a follow button linked to your personal profile (rather than your world), follow these steps:
- Type the code [follow:Username].
- Replace Username with your username. For example, [follow:Dimitris] will add a button to follow Dimitris.
Followers of your account will be notified when you perform certain actions on the site, such as posting in the community tab or creating a new feature suggestion.
