Manuscripts is World Anvil's novel-writing software. You can use it to write, edit, and even publish your stories with a seamless integration with your world. Beat sheets can be very helpful when plotting out your story. If you want to create a beat sheet in your Manuscript, follow these steps:
- Access Manuscripts by clicking Manuscripts in the left sidebar.
- Choose the scene where you want your beat sheet to be in. At the top left, click on the green plus button to Add a new Scene if you don't have one already.
- At the top of the page, click on Table and customize the rows and columns to your liking.
- When the table has been created, there will imediately be options to edit it (add/retract columns etc.). You can mouseover the options to see a discription of their function.
- Your table is ready to create your beat sheet.
Changes in the Manuscripts interface are saved automatically!
