Manuscripts is the novel-writing software of World Anvil. You can use it to write, edit, and even publish your stories with a seamless integration with your world. To create a new Manuscript, follow these steps:
- Make sure that you have the correct world selected from the world switcher on the top of your screen.
- Access Manuscripts by clicking Manuscripts in the left sidebar.
- Press the Manuscript button
- In the creation pop-up on the right, give a title to the manuscript.
- Click the submit button or Shift + Enter.
After creating it, you'll be redirected to the manuscript interface.
Don’t see Manuscripts on your side bar? Make sure you have the writing features enabled on your Features page. Here’s how to enable account features!
After creating your manuscript, you can click on it in the list of all your created manuscripts on the left sidebar menu. It will lead you to the edit page (where you’ll be writing and editing!).
You’ll see an inspirational message from us - just click "Let’s get down to business" to dismiss it!
Extra pro tip: You can click the three horizontal lines icon on the top left, to hide the left-hand sidebar while working on your Manuscript.
