How to add SEO metadata to your articles and worlds

With good SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, you can make your public worlds appear in higher positions on search engines like Google. World Anvil gives you some SEO tools that will be useful for that.

Note that this page will not teach you SEO good practices! SEO is a very deep topic that can't be covered in a simple how-to guide.

Article SEO metadata

To access an article's SEO options:

1. Edit the article.
2. Click the "Design" tab, and then the "SEO" sub-tab.

There, you'll be able to edit the article's SEO title and description.

Homepage SEO metadata

You can also add SEO metadata to the world's homepage:

1. Click the gear icon, and then the double gear.
2. Click the "Homepage" tab and then the "SEO" sub-tab.

Just like with articles, you can edit the homepage's SEO title and description.
