Unable to Edit Most Categories
I am unable to access the full category editor (when you click "Edit Category" or "Advanced Edit") on almost all of my categories. They simply do not load the full editor (HTTP 500 ERROR). Very rarely, a smaller category with only a couple "Child" categories will load the editor, but it's inconsistent, and the larger categories with many "Children" will never load. I have 9,000+ articles organized under many categories, and I have many nested categories within each other. Is the problem that I have too many articles or too many categories? Or too many articles in too few categories? If I spread out the nested categories so that there are fewer "Child" categories, might that fix it?
Steps to Reproduce
Attempt to edit almost any category and you get the HTTP 500 ERROR.

This has nothing to do with nesting but with the fact the system is trying to load a 9000 articles dropdown list and failing. This needs to be fixed indeed and we are working on a new system that will resolve this. I will try to find some time to create a patch but time is really limited right now - I will do my best
