8.0 My style

I’ll circle back to you - I go around the table during “active exploration” to collect intentions first, then circle back to resolve / confirm results of your actions. This avoids a free-for-all and gives everybody equal time during exploration.   Player Agency - I 100% respect player agency (your freedom to control your character). I will never “take control” of your PC and have him/her do things - that’s your job and I never want to take that away from you. If magical effects ever impose an action on your PC, I’ll explain that clearly as it happens.   Fudging - I hate fudging dice rolls. Once started, where does it stop? If I do it to save one PC, why don’t I do it for another? Therefore pretty much every die I throw is taken as is. I would much rather hone my skills at designing balanced encounters as opposed to just relying on “fudging” to balance them. When I do fudge rolls, it’s usually as part of an on-the-fly adjustment to a creature that was either created too strong or too weak.   Retcon/Rewind - If you rolled the result and know the outcome, I generally don’t allow a re-do with a different strategy. If you forgot to apply a few points of damage here or there, I’ll correct that or if there was some acidental but major oversight in the rules I’ll retcon corrections (good or bad).
