Adalon

Adalon is high up in the mountains and so it is cooler here, typically 30 degrees. However the air is thin and exhaustion comes easy.

The Jakorat Mountain Range  is directly North and Spire Peak  is 15 miles West.
15 miles To the South are the Benot Wastes .

Resources

Adalon is surrounded by dozens of ore mines. Hundreds of prospectors stake claims and scavenge minerals and gems from the exposed eroding rock of the mountains.
Being near the snow peaks Adalon is near the planets rarest and most needed commodity.  However, reaching the snow involves a difficult climbs to frigid high altitudes.  At night the mountains become so cold it is deadly to be outside. 
The snow is dangerous and cost prohibitive to harvest in mass-quantities, and evaporation of large quantities in the warmer climes is problematic. So, logistically it remains more a local luxury - but that does't stop entrepreneurs from trying.  The local community has a nasty habit of running off these "outsider scrappers", but most simply withhold information or refuse to consult on how best to reach the snows.
Because creatures also come to this area for water, Adalon has adept hunters and have the best understanding on the few life forms on Tycho I.

Relationships

The people of Adalon are not always in line with the rest of the colonies. They are 160 miles from the capital city and don't have the same pressing water issues and deadly daytime heat.
