Kunkai

As the Ohmnarian's roamed and explored, some eventually discovered the continent to the south or modern day Kunkai. This area is only reachable by the south pole (particularly more treacherous than the north pole) or by a chance 13 mile crossing over a sea that must be frozen (rare due to tidal action). This often left those who made the journey isolated which lead to Kunkai developing into and independent country and culture.
