A picturesque gorge about 30 minutes out of
Kataran by
Thunderail or 15-20 miles.
A great stone bridge 200 ft high and 400 feet across caries the
Thunderail across the gorge. On very rare occasions flash flood waters from a freak storm can briefly flow into the gorge but it rapidly evaporates or is absorbed into the parched soil.
Two outposts on either side of the bridge protect it.
The
Thunderail train typically slows to half speed when crossing this bridge.
