Session 17 - The Lost Session
Stuff happened and the lowly DM failed to create the log.
The group unearthed the remainder of the graves: The find a male dwarf - dressed in the garb of a blacksmith A female human warrior - dressed in Mirabar military garments The male human warrior - dressed in stone armor (Earth cult symbol as determined by Josef) Male human dressed in a white robe with black feathers at the shoulders
The all died from either arrow wounds or crushing blows.
I think the PCs returned to Red Larch and meet with faction members.
Lane learns from Haeleeya that a moon elf in the delegation was carrying a pouch of magical seeds she was taking to the Abbey of Goldenfields. The seeds would supposedly grow into a magical grove. He gets a bath (and I think Traxacam does to?).
Taraxacam’s visits Endrith Vallivoe (harper). He helps the old man move a bed frame that is leaning against the front of the mans home/business). Afterword they talk… Harpers are concerned about a member of the Delegation - a renowned sage shield dwarf named Buldenthar. The dwarf was transporting his collection of manuscripts to Waterdeep. The do not want the books to fall into the “wrong hands”.
Later while Traxacam is at the Swinging Sword, Vallinvoe enters and gives him a book that was amidst a create of stuff that he purchased from a passing merchant a few days ago. He didn’t realize what it was until after digging through the crate. The book is beautifully written in dwarven and details dwarven geneology. The merchant told Vallivoe that he’d bought it off a “shady keelboat skipper” in Womford.
I think somebody (Lane?) talked to Imdarr Relvaunder (one of the the priests at the all-faiths shrine) about the Knights of Feathergale spire - He says they are a group of wanta-be aristocrats from Waterdeep keen on riding arial mounts. He has had no dealings with them - only heard of them.
Thanatos also speaks with Imdarr (order of the gauntlet) and learns the delegation was carrying the body of a fallen knight who was to be buried with honors at Summit Hall.
The PCs set out in the AM toward feathergale spire(?).
Enroute they encounter 3 Ankhegs that errupt from the ground and attack - they are quickly dispatched, but bloody Lane and Taraxacam.
After the fight, the PCs continue on and find the spire (its easy to spot for miles around). They approach from the south end of the valley it overlooks - after seeing a few mounted men on giant vultures. They spot some caves to the west end of the valley and they spot a “bird-man” in the floor of the valley.
