Session 21 - 8/29/2020

General Summary

Olmis (the 10th month) 3, 1610 - The Boy with the red ball (continued), "A Prized Posession" (get it?)

The PCs begin exploring the house.

• They discover Toziro is actually a ghost - his skeleton is in the red toy chest.
• Toziro has a fear of flying things (machines).
• The Kelmonite who had the dagger in his chest is the boys Uncle Jayier Miacalin.
• They fought Jayier as an angry entity earlier but it reforms more calm.
• Jayier recounts what he remembers - "Machines" attacked without warning, shortly after some big, hyped up "expedition under the surface of Alpha. His younger brother attacked him attempting to sieze the inheratance for himself.
• Jayier soon realizes he has died and fades away his soul at peace.
• They learn Jayier and his wife had a baby girl and something happned to her.
• They learn the younger brother Darka Miacalin and Darka's wife fought constantly.
• They find the matriarch's ghost as well - sipping from a goblet - he is quite upset at his youngest son Darka. Egon asks if they can rest here - The matriach says it will be fine and that "they all need rest". The matriarch is comforted by Egon's oath to care for Toziro. He seems insistant that the "Destroyer" (Darka) be "Destroyed".
• The patriarch apparently dies from a broken heart (the family infighting).
• Jayier suspects Darka had something to do with his daughter's death.
• They fight nine shadow creatures that were lurking in the kitchen - they drain your strength.

A short rest is taken.
The PCs are persuing a few theories... that if they bury Toziro's remains he will be at rest. Based on the Matriarch's behavior there is a theory that his soul will be at rest once Darka is destroyed or maybe knowing Toziro is taken care of - maybe both, maybe neither.
