Surland

Surland is the 2nd largest in territory and economy on Etolar. For much of its history, it was part of Tremon. But the region that is present day Surland found itself at odds with the other half of its country which developed into a civil war.
They ultimately negociated a cesation of hostilites and Surland was recognized as a country. Borders were drawn and solidifed and the hunger for open conflict fell away. However there remains a grudge between the two countries. As the interplanetary colonial period heated up the two found each other at odds again throughout the Primean Solar System.
Most recently they (and may other governments) are in direct competition for Alpha.
