Torak

Torak is a Half-orc who once lived a life of honor and purpose. He was the finest warrior in his clan ( Clan Stonefang ), a respected figure known for his strength and skill in battle. His closest friend ( Gorrim ) since childhood served as the chief's trusted advisor, and Torak had everything he could ever want: a wife ( Vasha ) he adored and a daughter ( Lira ) he cherished. His life was built on pride, loyalty, and tradition.

The clan was embroiled in a brutal war with a rival tribe. Following his chief’s command, Torak led the warriors to a decisive victory on the battlefield. But when they returned home, triumph turned to devastation. Their village lay in ruins—homes reduced to ash, the lifeless bodies of women, children, and elderly scattered among the smoldering remains. Torak searched frantically for his family, but he found no trace of them. With their bodies missing, he could only assume the worst—that his wife and daughter had perished in the fire of his home.

To make matters worse, the chief and the other leaders of the tribe were also among the fallen. Gorrim’s body was not recovered either also presumed perished in the flames. What should have been a moment of victory became a nightmare. The warriors who had followed him into battle now looked to Torak for leadership, desperate for guidance. But grief shattered him. Overwhelmed by the weight of his loss, he laid down his weapons and walked away from everything he had ever known.

In the years that followed, Torak drifted aimlessly, drowning his sorrow in alcohol. He picked up odd jobs to survive, but every coin he earned was spent numbing the pain. Eventually, his wandering brought him to Red Larch, a town overwhelmed by refugees fleeing the horrors spreading across the land.

One day, amidst the crowd, Torak saw a woman and child who reminded him of the family he lost. Something stirred within him—a flicker of the man he once was. In that moment, he made a decision: he would not let others endure the same destruction that had shattered his life.

Now, Torak fights not just to survive but to protect those in need. He seeks redemption, hoping to restore his honor by preventing the same suffering from befalling others. Perhaps, in saving others, he might also find a way to save himself.
