How long the Kingdom of Eden lasted is still under debate, but there is evidence that by 3800 the entire continent was under conflict and by 3900 nearly all the upper class was gone. This War would be the largest loss of life to date.     The Great War didn't so much as end, as there wasn't enough soldiers left to fight it. The vast majority of the survivors where the lower class, and the 'dark ages' followed as very few scribes survived and more were trying to preserve written language over facts that no one might be ever be able to read. Almost all written languages where lost during this time, with what is called the Common Letters being the only surviving alphabet.   Most organized religions where lost a this time too, and survived only because of folk lore told by the most superstitious of the common class   Skeptics and atheists question any nobles claiming to be able to prove their linage past this era
