<Furry World> (Working Title)

is a world which is changing fast.   Once nations were divided along species lines: One nation for the fox, another for the boar and for the badger, and while this is still true of many of the historic nations which have existed for hundreds of years, changes to how one access and lives in this world is bringing down these old traditions.   Within the last one hundred years, massive changes have swep the world. New inventions have altered how the world works: The motorcar allows for faster travel over land and the airplane by air, making journeys that would take months to only take hours. The telephone and the radio allows for instant communication across the world and in warfare, old enemies point nuclear warheads at each other.   Old empires that have stood for several hundred years have fallen, unable to adapt to a rapidly changing time. Their colonies, now independent and built on the ideals of the individual, have formed their own, brand new style of empire: Business. Where once power lay with armies controlling resources of nations, now the mixed-species wealthy industrialists of the New World are the new monarchs, owning mines and factories which manufacture goods to sell the masses and with this wealth, controlling interests in governments. Capitalism has been born.   Meanwhile, on the other side of the globe, a collection of poor nations few could have placed on a map decades ago, overthrow their tyrant warlords and monarchs with the ideal that all are equal and the wealth should be distributed amongst the masses. They band together to form the worlds very first superpower with the goal to spread this idea around the world. Communism has been born.   And with this, the old empires are caught in the middle. Their own nations seeing the effects of both ideals. Suddenly what the common man, or the woman, or the immigrant thinks is important, because everyone has a vote and so everyone holds power.   It is a very different world from what it once was one hundred years ago, and every year seems to bring around new changes.
