Awful, this headache is awful. It reaches from my frontal lobe to occipital lobe in a god-awful throbbing sensation. I can't tell if my eyes are deceiving me when I see shadowy figures lurking in my peripheral. Or when my hands and fingers sink a little too deeply in my bones. The world tumbles over, and over, and over with no mercy. While the voices ram themselves against the cochlea. Clamoring, raging. My eyes were essentially on the verge of popping. Hell, my whole head would pop from the sheer pressure building up inside.   Yet at the touch of a hand, the chaos was soothed and hushed to a corner. For a moment, the ticking bomb state of my mind was frozen in time.   It was Louki's hand.   She caressed my head in a solemn silence. I couldn't read her expression. Pity? Sorrow? Was she even capable of feeling anything other than indifference? I'm afraid I don't have an answer for that. For all the years I spent inside that library, there still appears to be questions I don't know the answer to. What a thought.   When was the last time someone had... Have I ever felt the touch of someone else? Curse myself. I suppose if I had to lose my mind to be treated like this, I would lose my mind anytime.   Kazek Korhonen Whedlen

The writing on the page is erratic and out of control, like a wild beast gone mad. Amongst illegible scribbles, a few words can be made out.   They won't quiet. They won't quiet. They won't quiet.   Must find all shards.   S̴̨̻͖̗͉͚͍̹̬̟͔̱̗̈́̃͋͜h̵̜̥̐̌͠a̶̧̩̱̪͈̲̺͍̰̻͈̍̓͌̅̍̐̏́̕͠r̷͖̲͔͍͌̒̃͂͌̀͌̔̚͘͝d̷̛̞͌̈́̈̊̓̿̊͒͘͝ͅs̵̘̗̤̯̙͈̟͙̞̤̦̹̾.̷̛͓̫̳͈̱͙̺̣̙̣̣̿̆ ̸̞͕͔̠͖̞̥̑̿̋͜S̸̡̢̢̻͇̬̜̗͔̯͋͒̈́̽͊͊̓̌͂͘̕͘͝͝ą̵̡͙̲̪̠͎͓̬͈̀͊̆̔͊̍͐̎̾͠ͅl̴̢̗̬̬̯̤̟̠̙̽͑́̚v̵̙̟̞̲̖̺̠̊̃͜a̵̧̛̭͕̯͍̠͔̬͕̦̍͗̔̔͑͗̿̾̚ͅt̴̞̫̤̮̗͔͙̠͎͍͑̆͐ͅi̵͈̘̳͙̜͔̪̪̪͊̾̍͐͆͒͝ō̶̼̦̪̼̣̥̗͜͝ͅͅn̶̨̟̼͔̥̦̫̠͇̤̲̓͆́̈́̊͗͂͌͂̋͛̕͠ͅͅ.̷̙̘̘̰̹̘͈͖̠͕̯̓͂̒̿̈́͊̐̏̒̄̿͝ ̸̞͊̏̔́̒͊̓͘͠S̶̨̛̥̗̑̅̌̆̆͛̌e̸̼̓͗͛̇̈́́͒̓̅͗͒͘͘͝͝ŗ̴̥̓͐͆̎̀̾̅ͅe̷̲̜͆ṅ̵̢͚̲̙̘̞͈̘̟̗̪͐̋̀̈́́̋̎̓̎́̔̏̚i̵̗̗͋̽̑͒́̓̈́͘ţ̶̛̳̝̱̖̥̭͎̘̫ÿ̸̯̗́̆̐̀͌̍̏͊͛̊.̵̙̬͜͝ ̴͍̺̦̺̤̰̣͒̓͂̑̕ͅS̴̢̢̛̮̍͌͒̔̆̀͊̚ơ̷͇̑̈́͐̎̌͂̐͂̏̈́u̴͇̼̭̝͉̜̒͜l̶͚̤̓ş̸̧̢̞̮̙̣͓̣͖͙͕͔͎͔̋̔̍̅̽̈́̈́͒̈͊̃̎.̸̢̮͓̫̖̟͌̆̓̈̿͗͠͠ͅ ̶̛̺̗̩̝̙̀̇̍̽̐̐͛́̅̓̕͠C̶̡̨̮̭͎̰̞̱̠̱̊͛͜ó̵̫̦͉̩͔̖͠n̸̘̜͉̯͙̥̖̰̰̫̤̬͌̓͒͛̈́̂̂̍t̶̡̧̘̜̻̰͍̥̦͙́́ŗ̷̮̦̘͖̭̙͇̩̘̲͛̓͗̈́͑̋̐̏͘ͅả̷͓͕̲̝̖͖͈̝͍̝͑͐̊̈́̔͊͆̽͝č̶̢̨̤̭̦̦̤̄t̴̲̱͇̯̩̳̥͇͉̞̦̣̺̭̥͋͘.̵̟͎̰͕̟̱͖̩̮͔̖̯̀̒̾́͂͛́ ̶̢̛̲̗͕͓͔̮̟̥̘̺̫͛͋̓̋͐̃̅͘͘͘͜͝ͅE̷̼̩̝̳̙̭̙͘t̵̞̼̣͔̀e̶̫̓̆͂̆̊̄̈́̑̿̀̏r̶̡̡̨̢͈͖͙̘͎͈̊ͅṉ̸̗͉̦̯̹̮̙̆̇̎̅͑̽̔͗̀́̓̓͘͘͜ả̸̡̡̢͖̹̞̞̩͎̼̻̜͖͎̝̈́͊̾̀͂̽͒̃̾̚͠l̴̦̤͓̼̯̙͐̑̾̊͂̑̅͘ ̵͉͇͎̼̣̻̮͖̀̓͊̕R̵͍̜͚̤̙͈͇̣̞̻͍̩̺͂̄͠ͅͅę̸̢̫͙̺̯͓͈̳͇̄ṕ̴̣͈̱̍͠ò̷͙͚̥͕̹̗̏̌̅̓̊̒̐̈̏s̵̡̛̭͉̺̹̘͔͙̼̮̰͈͛̔̋̀̊̐́̿̚͘͜ę̷͎͓̞̘̈́̐̀̾͒͂́́͂́̆̾͠͝͝.̵̖̎̀͛̀͋̇̍̀̚͝ ̷̢̧͙̯̗͚̙̗͙͓͎̘̓̿̔̕͠͠͠Ẹ̴̦̘̻̦͈̬͕̻̩̭̘̋͋a̷̡̱̠͓̰͆̔͗̊̀͝ͅr̵̡̺̗̒͋̽t̷̢̨̛̗̻̘͙̦̗͓̹͓͔̫̘̏̀̈̌͋͐̄̽̑̍͂͑͛͘h̴̪̻̲̆̏͑̚͠ ̷̨̧̰̖͚͋̊̈́̒̐̈́̈̾̂͋̈́͋͂̕̕G̷̡̛̲̠̟̣̭͖̗͓̹̱͙͎͂̄̓͒͊̒̆̈́̃̈́͋̽̚͝ó̵͖̖͚̜̪̝̭͉͖͇̻̱̓̌̈̃̾͋̋͜͝͠ͅd̸͚̲̳̫̤̼͎̬̠̠͕͆̄̋̐̉̏̅̍̚͝.̴͙̯̰͍́͒̆̎̇̈́̈́͐̒̾̽̾͛̕ ̷͕̮͙̰̫̥͔̦̖̟̤͔̯̫̇̄̇͐́̀̎͊̕L̶̹̋͆̓̾̔̍͗̅͌̆͑͊͘̚͘ǫ̵̺̩͕̮̟̱̹͖̻͇̠̣̻́͋̂͊̈́͑͌̈́̾͠ú̵̝̘̯͇̤͚͖̑̇̂k̸̡̖̮̻͈̖͕͍̞͎̻̠̈̂̑ḭ̴̧͕͇̙̫̱̯͙̰̑̒̌̓̾̓͋̚̚͜͜.̶̡̡̡̳̯̱͈̳̾̃̊̐̎̅͒͌̔͑͘͠     Louki.

Folded Page

Louki. Truly, her real beauty is displayed at its finest at night. The moonlight practically radiates off of her skin and her hair falls in just the right places. My most gracious, my most adored, the incarnate of Venus upon this world-   The rest of the entry had been scribbled out in black and is rendered unreadable. Perhaps the author felt too embarrassed the morning after he had written the note and blacked it out but forgot to remove the page from the journal.

How ridiculous.   I could almost feel myself tipping from my chair. How fucking ridiculous. Not only does he have the audacity to completely disregard the traits and practices of a person of noble blood, but to spill drink over a noble such as myself. It's no wonder that damned Norgantia was kicked out. Oh, how the tabloids and gossip would rocket over a spectacle like this. If only we were in the mainland. Still, to be inflicted with this amount of disrespect is something I had not known for a long time. Takes me back to my early academy days, boys were ruthless.   Fortunately, a warm soak in the bathtub seemed to have cooled my temper. The wonders true relaxation can give to your body. And a surprise awaited me when I finished up. Just as I was reaching for my new change of clothes, I had noticed my shirt was missing. The thief? Well, my most gracious patron sleeping in bed with it on of course. She's still very well asleep as I write this entry, perhaps I should just let her be. She seems awfully comfortable in it. Who knew such a vile creature could look so at peace?   Kazek Korhonen Whedlen

One of the professors at the academy loved to add this one comment to his lectures; "A true scholar records everything." The statement is up for debate, but I do find the habit quite beneficial. It enhances my cognitive functions, improves my penmanship, and also gives me something to do when the night rolls around. Critically speaking, it is a great investment of my time.   It was not long ago that I embarked on this journey, if I closed my eyes, I could still feel myself in the walls of that library. Stuck and suffocated. Like a mouse in a trap. Perhaps it affects me more than I let on, I try not to think to much about it. I arrived in the city of Arkhar per the request of a certain Mayor Ornelious. The details are vague but one thing was certain, it was a place of interest. Louki seemed to share this idea. And so we travelled to the island of Avalon where Arkhar was situated.   On a rather surprising turn of events, I had found myself in a company with some strange individuals. One Kuko of the family of Norgantia, a mad man who has a robot that tags along with him. One Luka of the family of Levia, with a rather adept understanding of magic. And a man named Banny, I do not personally have much of an opinion on this man. It was merely by chance that I had been involved with this company, though I cannot say their presence had not been helpful. Louki, on the other hand, has much to say. If only one could silence the comments of their patrons, my most adored would have my head for that statement.   There is much I have to learn about magic, I cannot be slacking off. Yet one does need to rest.   Kazek Korhononen Whedlen

An Old Journal Entry
19th of Lonce, 858 Uaren

I thought I was merely dreaming the night before. That I had exhausted myself to the point my mind had induced delusions and visions to keep me sane at night. Apparently, I was not.   Last night, whilst studying over the documents handed to me by the Academy, I heard a rustle amongst the books. I ignored it once, twice, then by the third time, I had finally turned around. Nothing was behind me, not a creature in sight. But the moment I turned around, I was greeted by a strange figure. I swear I almost tipped right over and bashed my skull against the hardbound covers of books.   The strange figure was a woman of short stature, her skin was pale in color and she hid behind a veil of black. My memory remains blurry but if one thing I could clearly see through the fog of forgetfulness, it was that she had the most piercing eyes. Golden eyes stared back at me from the darkness, like a predator staring down at its soon to be meal.   Louki. That was her name. She revealed herself as a so called "wish granting nymph" and an affiliate of the court of the earth god from centuries back, so far not even I would know of it. I find it quite difficult to believe. First of all, the members of the court of the earth god have all since perished. Especially after the fall of the earth god. Secondly, I had not touched a single document that stated of a "wish granting nymph". Nymphs, sure. But one that had the power to grant wishes, not even a drabble. If one were to have been in existence, especially one of such power, it would have been spoken about at least once, would it not?   I believe we did share a conversation sometime in the night, but I can hardly remember its contents. I do remember an inkling of a feeling that if I had just gone to sleep, then the delusion would stop. And so I slept. The delusion however did not in fact stop. I woke up and there the woman was. Near my desk, ruining my organized pile of documents and references. You know, for a creature who claims to be hundreds of years old, she doesn't seem to possess much intellect. I am starting to doubt if she can even read.   By the gods, I may already have lost it. I haven't even had my morning cup of caffeine. I should probably continue this entry once I have had it. And after I interrogate this random creature that's sitting atop my desk without a care in the world.   Kazek Korhonen Whedlen
