Entry 41: Underground Village
Vanm 25, 861
Today was a tiring day. But it was fun! We discovered a secret village underground and after sneaking in, had everyone enter. Inside, we met a sage who we made a deal for support in the goblin war. Everything went well for a while. We got a room and I drank a little with Kazek and Kuko. In retrospect, I think I'm becoming a lightweight.
Anyway, sometime later, Kuko, Kazek and Banny were attacked by people called the emissaries. After conversing with Kuko, I learned that they had come from Aurora and bore the sigil of the Hydra, which is odd, to say the least. She should've taken care of that. Kuko had become suspicious of me after and I screwed up. The sage trained Kuko, Jun Wei and Banny while I talked to Kirill and Kazek after.
A few hours even later, we packed up and I borrowed Kuko's camera. It was a pretty piece of technology, but I couldn't help but notice his reaction to my hug.
Anyway, I've decided to make a blog now, using the photos.
Of course, our short stay wasn't so fun. For some reason, when sparring with the sage, Banny turned into some sort of abomination, summoning multiple societal-offscourings with him. I couldn't help but feel these could one day be useful if kept in the soul pouch but their souls weren't recoverable.
In the end, we left the crumbling cave, off to Marathi Village in pursuit of a specific crystal. Perhaps I can learn something about her there.
Entry 40: Reuniting With The Party
Vanm 24, 861
I returned to the party today. I took down a few goblins as well and entered the village. Nothing really happened. I merely learned a bit about the situation and the fact that they'd be leaving tomorrow.
Oh well, at least I'm back with everyone. And of course, him.
Entry 39: The Village
Vanm 23, 861
Much to my dismay, there wasn't much in Brazen Maw. It was interesting, surely, seeing everything there. I had heard of it before, in my university. But she wasn't there. So I couldn't really care as much as I wanted to. Besides, I'm only here to find her. Mayor Ornelious' quest surely did interest me. Avalon's been quite turbulent, nowadays, I'm sure. Though she's been missing for years.
Entry 38: Temporary Departure
Vanm 19, 861.
Today, I set out for a short departure from the party. It's only for a short while, of course, but I'll miss them. No matter, I can't do much. I have to make progress. I'll be back soon anyway.
I've decided to stop by a village for now. I've heard of some activity going on there and I don't suppose the party will need me much right now.
Entry 24: Found
Dam 19, 863.
I found my old journal. I skimmed through the pages before considering that I might want to pull them out. But maybe they’ll have some use in the future. For now, I’ll just cling onto the memories.
Anyway, I’ve arrived in Arkhar. A governor by the name of Ornelious has put up a mission to eliminate some goblins due to their growing population. Surely that won’t be much of a problem. I think that this will be a good break from my paladin duties.
Entry 23: Symphonies
Bylown 15, 854.
I miss when she would brush my hair. I miss the songs she would hum while we sat on my bed right before I slept.
But I have never forsaken my oath. I never broke it, technically. Because I still did purge the evil, didn’t I? I purified the waters. Vaenter’s waters. I removed the scum that plagued the waters, in our church! In our own church. I should be praised and awarded for this. I’ve done something remarkable and good for once, right?
Lord, give me a sign.. please tell me that this was all worth it.
Entry 19: Banquet
Lonce 2, 853.
I’m sorry. Please forgive me.
Entry 14: Corruption
Rainop 12, 853.
I’m starting to second guess myself. Maybe Aunt Minthe was right, as much as I’d like to think she wasn’t. I don’t want to think about what my parents are doing anymore. If I had known they were this.. well, unsavory, I would have never looked up to them. But is this it? Were they always like this? I don’t want to know.
My mother and father are holding a banquet soon. I couldn’t bother though. Not when people like these are there.
Entry 9: Minthe
Spalen 23, 853.
Aunt Minthe has made the choice to leave the church and become a wandering swordswoman. Father found it disdainful. He seemed very upset. But maybe Aunt Minthe was right in leaving. Mother and father’s mistakes are becoming more and more apparent. And I can’t ignore the fact they’re just turning a blind eye to it.
Aunt Minthe asked me if I wanted to leave the church with her in the night. But I don’t think it’s the right thing to do. Maybe things will get better. I’ll make sure they do. I’ll do anything to.
Signed, Luka.
Entry 1: Training
Dam 21, 851.
Today, my mother gave me a journal. I wasn't interested at first but I decided that I didn't want to waste the book. So here's to my first entry!
Father trained me personally today. He told me that I needed to practice my rapier more. He seemed a bit disappointed. I can't deny that I was bit dismayed because I had been training everyday under Aunt Minthe. But that's fine. If that is what he says, it must be true. I will keep training.
Signed, Luka.
