Merica

Novitiate Merica

Merica is a Novitiate of the Adepta Sororitas, one appointed as an Acolyte of an Inquisitor. It is rare for one so young to be given that sacred duty, making her either exceptional or expendable, and she doesn't quite know which. She has always had trouble making friends and allies, and only recently found out why - Merica is an Untouchable.

Merica has been sent on one mission so far, and it was a terribly difficult thing for one so accustomed to battle and physical pursuits. She was sent to the Library of Knowing at Nova Castillia on Fenksworld to search the books and library for Heresy. There she met a young woman who became first her partner, then friend, and now friend-with-benefits, Novia.

The entire report of her actions and reasoning is availabe from Inquisitor Astrid Skane.

While on Fenksworld, Merica and Novia rescued a young Orders Pronatus Novitiate named Xolla Crimson who had been beaten, tortured and repeatedly savaged.  Xolla has fully recovered from her wounds and has become something of a friend to Merica and Novia.

After her return to Iocanthus and the Abbey of the Dawn, Merica made two allies, Sister Octavia of the Orders Famulous and Sister Quintia of the Orders Sabine.  On her second day Merica stood trial in front of the Inquisition and was cleared of wrongdoing.  She faced her Trial of Initiation on the third day, but because of the interference of Seth the Voice and his band of warrior, her trial failed to be completed in time and she was denied entry to the Order of the Ebon Chalice and was made to leave.
