Royal Intelligence Division

The Royal Intelligence is a magic division aimed at gathering and analyzing information to provide support for the Royal Soldiers and Magicians during a war or disaster. They served as an integral part of the Royal Military of Lucidus due to their skillful strategies that turn the tide of almost every known battle the country has faced.
They often work together with the Shadow Covert division to analyze any information they obtained during their missions. They also work with the Inquisitio Police on some occasions during a terrorist attack or a wide-scale crime.

Composition

Equipment

Along with their mastery of mental magic, they possessed special Magitech equipment to analyze data and information that they gathered. They also possessed a varied amount of books containing geography and Mana subjects in their headquarters so they can compare any information they found.

Weaponry

Many members usually possessed a small sword and crossbow or bow and arrows as their means of self-defense while magicians possess daggers in case they ran out of Mana to cast magic.

Structure

Most members often stay in their headquarters due to their non-combative nature. However, they often send out 2-4 members to the field to aid the commanders so they can decide the right course of action.

To get better coverage to the battlefield, the division either sends out a Crystal Lens or a field scout from the Shadow Covert to serve as their eyes. Sometimes, they also send a member to accompany them. They also send out a messenger through one of their field members or an owl to deliver their plans to the army.

Recruitment

For a member to be recruited into the Royal Intelligence, they must be a graduate of any magic academy or any kingdom-sanctioned academies. While sufficient experience on Arcana magic is also a requirement, some members are recruited due to their information broker background or their skills in stealth. A few of them are also former members of the Shadow Covert.
