Underground Agricultural Practices

Also called 'orlerdan bōyinor' in Arinetsē.   Although traditional agricultural practices were used in above-ground locations such as Pîver Erthunar and Lakt Eglens (and in other settlements in what is now Askela), a different method had to be devised for use in the underground districts which make up the majority of Arine.
Access & Availability
Common use across Arine, especially in Erthunar for the growth of crops.
Complexity
Components:
  • Water trough
  • Crops (such as tomatoes, cucumbers, capsicums, eggplants, strawberries, or lettuce)
  • Bright light source
Discovery
The technology of underground agricultural practices was discovered by the necessity of growing crops despite limited above-ground space for farming due to the layout of Arine. The Arineans needed to be able to produce food underground and thus without sunlight.
