Anu-Haidene, Greatstaff of the Eternal Sisterhood

Anu-Haidene was crafted following the fourth war by Matron Erena Lunarglade, designed to bea blessed parallel to Queen Azshara’s very own weapon of choice. The weapon is crafted from Elunite, a rare ore native to the Kaldorei lands of Kalimdor and cradles an artifact known as the “Moonstone of the First Speaker”.

History

During the events of the Fourth War the organisation later known as the Eternal Sisterhood, lead by Lord Zarival Songstrand, undertook an expedition to the far reaches of Northrend in order to peer into a vault beneath a surviving temple of Elune at the Riplash Ruins. Following a rather perilous journey into the catacombs of this ancient temple the organisation uncovered a lockbox containing a large, pristine Moonstone of immense potency. An inscription on the container read:

“A moonstone, one of many said to be blessed by Haidene herself. May it’s glow bring good health to all who pray at our moonwells.”

This treasure, while appreciated, was mostly glossed over by the current leadership of the organisation and was gifted to Priestess Erena Lunarglade as she had a particular fondness for the speaker of old.
The relic remained with her all the way into her ascension as leader of the order. Following Lunarglade’s vast reforms of the Eternal Sisterhood and naming of Haidene as the orders official Martyr of Salvation the relic became synonymous with her leadership. Erena kept it on her person at all occasions and built up the mythos that only someone worthy of Elune’s gaze would possess the power to wield such a priceless artifact.
Though most of the true history and knowledge of the stone was merely a tale fabricated from a vague text to help cement the Matron’s grip on leadership. This does not mean that the stone is a fraud in itself. Regardless of its disputed origins it is clearly a charm of great power, demonstrating a vast capacity to store Lunar and Arcane energies.
The stone has on multiple occasions shown to form a symbiotic bond with its wielder, permitting damage done to the holder is minimal it has on occasion prevented Matron Lunarglade from fully dying, until she can be brought to a moonwell to be healed. Though Erena has used this as a way to claim she is protected by Elune personally, she is very hesitant to test the full extent of the stone’s resurrection capabilities.
Following the first, and at this time only, instance of self resurrection at the hands of the Moonstone of the First Speaker (And through the aid of Vashava Nethersong), Erena has fashioned the relic into the staff Anu-Haidene, and continues to wield it, dubbing it an official relic of her orders interpretation of the faith.
