Kalinrea Freedreamer (a.k.a. Kalin)

Kalinrea Freedreamer, Farstrider, and former Emissary of the Highblood Myrmidons took up arms to protect her kingdom of Quel'Thalas and her people, along with Suramar and the Shal'dorei. After disagreeing with the Hordes views and feeling as though her people had forgotten why they joined the Horde, Kalinrea left the Myrmidons and found herself allying with the Alliance in the form of mercenary work with the Sunnyglade Ratters.

History

Before Kalinrea was born, her parents parted ways for the sake of their careers - her mother, a skilled Farstrider, and her father a promising mage who was given the opportunity to better himself and train to be a Magister of the Sunfury Spire. Her parents had no idea however that when they parted ways, Kalinrea's mother was already pregnant.
Kalinrea was raised by her mother and others within the Farstriders, never really speaking or bonding with her father. On the rare occasion when they had met, her father felt nothing but disappointment and regret that she had been brought into the world and quickly distanced himself from his only child. This did not change when the Scourge reached the lands of Quel'Thalas.
As a Farstrider, Kalinrea's mother was called to defend the front line against the Scourge Invasion and sadly lost her life, along with the rest of her unit. Without a mother to take care of her, Kalinrea turned to her only living relative, hoping that her father would take her in and care for her. This was not the case sadly and Kalinrea was turned away by her own father, forced to live on the streets of Quel'Thalas and take care of herself.
It was through these difficult circumstances that Kalinrea learned how to take care of herself in a fight and what lead her to follow in her mother's footsteps to become a Farstrider but, when it got to the final test to pass her training, Kalinrea left. It was then that she came across the Highblood Myrmidons and joined their ranks as a Proselyte, quickly working her way up to Emissary.
After some time as Emissary, Kalinrea found herself disagreeing with both the Spire and the Horde, causing her a great deal of personal reflection. After coming to the decision of stepping down from leadership, Kalinrea returned to the Farstriders for a short time only to realize that she was still unhappy at being associated with the Horde and traveled to Stormwind City. Once there, the elf found new employment with the Sunnyglade Ratters as a mercenary.
