The flickering flame of the candle illuminated the clustered chamber in the dimmest of light. Dusty tomes, grimoires, and scrolls of arcane power, placed in towering piles against the cobbled-walls, casting long and deep shadows towards the dark-celling of the unkempt room. The sight was chaotic, without system, and with a seeming lack of order, but despite the study’s potential association with a field of battle, a warzone, there was an uncanny calm to be found in the chaos – The Forsaken knew the exact placement of every curiosity and trinket that lingered within the darkest of crannies or most obscure of nooks - at least, that is what I assumed...Time’s toll on the Forsaken is apparent, of such, there can be little doubt. Countless wrinkles and facial crevasses adorn the sunken visage of the old Forsaken, bare skeletal-bone often remaining in areas where there was once flesh. However, despite all the clear indicators of decay and writhing rot, Morgan’s eyes and general mannerism and demeanour seem weirdly welcoming, genuine, and kind. The crooked and sunken form of the rotting magus is adorned by garments of the finest quality, seemingly tailor-made to the fit the Forsaken’s body, but crafted during a time when the Forsaken’s posture was less sunken. The only constant across the sorcerer’s attire is the purple dye that adorns it, the hue befitting the well-kept tabard that hangs elegantly across the Forsaken’s chest. A wide array of jewel-encrusted rings adorn the crooked fingers of the Forsaken. Whilst some seem to hold no other purpose than to serve as heirlooms and mementoes, others seem enchanted, smeared in potent magical energy. A Rotstone, a magical object of communicative purposes, hangs around the neck of the old sorcerer, attached to a fine, yet slightly rusty, metal chain. The archaic and ancient sorcerer is often seen clinging to a crooked wooden staff, seemingly unable to move about without it. Another item of importance is the sorcerer’s satchel, a leathery object of medium size with golden-runic patterns adorning it - Artefacts of great importance and power are found within this enchanted abyss, including both Morgan’s grimoire and the mysterious deck of cards that the sorcerer seems to involve in his scrying, readings, and rituals.
