Priesthood

Traitors, rats, and failures are not tolerated in the Sunnyglade Ratters. Sometimes the offender is disposed of, either left to die or slain by their colleagues. The deceased’s next of kin are told that they went off to ‘become a Priest’, to cover it up. The phrase ‘becoming a Priest’ is known only amongst the trusted members of the company who understand the consequences of slacking or betrayal. Lighter punishments are more common, but this final decision has been given out multiple times. Once a member has been disposed of and the story about their whereabouts spun, they are then rarely spoken about in public. The cover-up protects both the Sunnyglade Ratters’ reputation and the other members.
