Sceptre of Alterac

A cruel sceptre wrought of cold iron and twisted, gnarled wood. With a pommel carved into the style of a Alteraci falcon's beak and heavy, barbed head made for cracking skulls, it is a symbol of ancient and barbaric dominion - a weapon of a King predating polite civilisation.   With Argus disrupting the timeless constellations the sceptre is said to have briefly shattered into shards and taken upon profane markings calling to the void - offering untold power to any who could piece it together. It whispered of an oubliette hidden in a lost keep and persistent rumours spoke of a lurking being, writ in demihuman figure, who shadowed those hunting the mace. Their nature remains unclear.   The mace is now said to have been captured by forces aligned with the Alliance, though with Argus fading from Azeroth's skyline the prophecised hour passed and the spectre returned to what appears to be its brutal yet ostensibly mundane form.
