Sunnyglade Story: No Cowboys in Heaven

The Sunnyglade Ratters attended a wedding of a client, Maximus Lowman. He was to marry Betty Penham, the daughter of a politician from Westfall. The wedding was attacked by a vicious swarm of the dead, killing almost everyone including the bride and groom. Only the mercenaries managed to survive. The death of Betty set the wheels in motion for what was to come.   Eamon Kaul reached out to the Sunnyglade Ratters. It had been quite some time since they teamed up. He wished to cash in on a favour for his aid back then. Eamon explained that a Scourge vault of mysterious relics and treasure existed and was part of the reason he turned on his former employer. Before his sudden amnesia, Lord Victarth was looking to add this to his collection.   Eamon asked the Ratters for help in finding it to reap its rewards. Since the fall of the Lord the vault had instead fell into the hands of the politician from Westfall, Jack Penham. The death of his daughter had caused Penham to begin campaigning for leadership and for the betterment of Westfall, but hidden under a veil were his true motives of murder and deceit.   A war followed that the Ratters had tried to keep quiet, but their new foe’s growing instability brought it out onto the streets of Stormwind. They were forced to act fast in their pursuit of Penham to avoid bloody consequences. Raiding his properties and fighting his followers, who were just as violent as the Defias Brotherhood they openly denounced, the Ratters eventually backed Penham into a corner.   A fierce fight ensued in an underground ruin where he was hiding the vault. With nowhere left to run he confessed that he wanted to use the relics inside the vault to forcefully become a leader of Westfall and safeguard the downtrodden locals. As well as this, he revealed his search for greater power put the target on his back that caused the massacre at his daughter's wedding. Penham was finally killed by Resindra Shadecaller and the mysterious vault was free to be taken. That is until an evil presence entered the chamber...
