Watrus
About
A cheerful and eccentric troll woman who embraces new directions with an open-minded and adventurous attitude. She is fueled by an intense eagerness to explore and experience, facing new challenges with her ever-trusty gun and hyena companion. However, her typically jovial and excitable personality still allows room for waves of pessimistic thinking and doubt. Despite how extensive she travels, how loyal she has been to the Horde, she remains humbled, even still surprised when rewarded for her efforts. Best described as a sport hunter, she is seldom seen without one of her vast collection of guns, or without the company of Vondila, a large Hecklefang Hyena. Watrus retains great care and consideration for the Darkspear Tribe, the many other allies they have gathered, and their mutual continued betterment and safety as per the Horde. While she can be regarded as forgoing traditional attitudes, over time, she has better come to learn that she is not as disconnected from her people as she once believed. From her early days, she still enjoys an eager indulgence in the skill and hobby of engineering; at first, like most novices, she cut her teeth on light tinkering, soon extending to a better understanding of larger-scale machines. She would soon finally prove her abilities in this avenue when she aided members of the Bilgewater Battalion in cracking the code of a Titan Facility during the Storm Peaks campaign; an act that saw her medalled for special service to the Horde. The experience in the Storm Peaks long lingered in the back of her mind, resulting in a now new but growing interest of some of Azeroth's more esoteric technologies. Watrus' friendship with the tauren Death Knight, Lakvanoy Clawtotem, might raise some eyebrows but while the specifics of how it came to be are not clear, it is commonly stated by both that Lakvanoy had aided Watrus in a moment of great doubt and despair during the Horde's move on Northrend; this connection is what allowed the two women, alongside Watrus' now long-time mate Khaltarr, to put together the Red Venturers; the mercenary outfit that Watrus now proudly represents. Additionally, Watrus holds particular sympathies and care for the blood elven people, and for the forsaken; both of who she regards as worthwhile and trusted allies, resulting in keen friendships from both races.
