Llawenaid Character in Ædeos | World Anvil

Llawenaid

Future is like the most delicate streak of hair. Would you like to weave it with me?
— Llawenaid to her next love prey

Summary

Lllawenaid was probably one of the rare cases of actual skalds and from a renowned school of Tamers of Æter, that led a life similar to that of trickster but never once decided to take it. She was a freewiled spirit, filled with passion of the world and of the unknown hidden in the chaotic waves of Æter. Her affinity for Æter has made her popular with students from the school fo the Uncharted Forms and she would at times come to visit their training sessions to calm the Ætereal waves and let them recrystallize the new forms. She enjoyed looking at them embracing the new forms and concepts with an open mind.

Llawenaid was well known in the Cymrian and Taenian circles for professional reasons. Alas, in her young days, when she was still seeking for a magnificent form, she would set her sails up and let the wind be her guide. Many men and women have had their hearts broken in Fuarain cluaran, where she loved to pay a visit at least thrice a year. Her past lovers rarely hated her for breaking up with them as she foreshadowed these events way before they started. She was a player with a fiery soul but would joke that she's more like a water — would move in chaotic waves, but with a potential to be frozen in its position.

Alas, one day, she returned from a long week break in the hot springs of Fuarain cluaran, when she met a new face at the training session of the Seekers of Uncharted Form. The man was brilliant and clever and cheeky at that. He was difficult to approach, but eventually she managed. Or maybe he let her be close.

Such is the short story of Llawenaid, the grandmother to Hithean the Seeker.
