Mythal

A mythal is a potent magical shield crafted by a group of spellcasters to safeguard a large area through various enchantments. Initially developed by elven High Mages, mythals alter the fabric of magic within their bounds, often restricting certain spells while enhancing others. They can also control access, excluding specific creatures like evil dragons. Creating a mythal sometimes demands the ultimate sacrifice from the lead caster. However, mythals can degrade over time if not properly maintained.
