Spell: Deafen

"Remove flow of noise from my target"

Person casting the spell can replace the word target in the spell with the name or title of target. Spell does work better when caster gives name or direction towards target. I.e. pointing with hand or casting impliment.
Do note that spell can be cast is any language. Some people have been taught the spell in particular language and may not even know its translation. Or some magic practitioners use a specific language when casting spells or rituals as a form of focus.

Effect

Person affected by spell can not hear for duration of spell. They are unable to hear anything beyond their own body.

Side/Secondary Effects

People who can see invisible creatures and effects will see a fuzz or static around the effected targets ears. Otherwise no visual signs or side effects.

Spell book, App, both use power from the caster. Enchanted spellcraft with spell ingrainded power stored within it for purpose of the spell.

Material Components

Cotton, i.e. Cotton ball

or

small ball of wax

*Item will disappear when spell is cast.
Effect Duration

1 minute-1 hour caster must be within 100 ft. of target

Applied Restriction

Caster must be able to see target. Can only be cast on living being. Depending on chosen material depends on if can be used, underwater using wax will work, cotton will not. If location is extremely hot neither will work as cotton will burn and wax melt. Caster must be within 100 ft of target.
