Old Dail Pantheon

The original belief system of the Dail people, the Old Pantheon has largely been supplanted by the New Dail Pantheon over the past few centuries. There are a few "Old Believers", mostly confined to remote areas, who refuse to accept the new gods.

Disbandment

Although not formally considered heresy per se by New Believers, the Old Pantheon is largely regarded as primitive superstition and more of an object of ridicule than a threat to the new religion. Old Believers are frequently the butt of Dailian jokes where they are depicted as simple, backwards hill folk. Example:
How many Old Believers does it take to light a candle?   Three: one to pray to Phodheia for rain, one to stand in the rain holding the candle over his head, and one to make an offering to Lumos to strike him with lightning.
