Description
Nestled within the deep forests of Detras stands an old city that should not belong, and should not have belonged for the roughly fifty years it has belonged. The ground is perfectly paved, the buildings never falling to disrepair, and the natural land never working to overtake what man has made; it is as if it is frozen in time. With many bridges and buildings spanning the river records indicate should be far larger and even more buildings raising into the mountains that are never marked on any map, this city is incredibly secretive in how it achieved its architectural brilliance.
Stranger still are its anti-magic laws. Only incredibly powerful mages are allowed to use their resources, with those either without permission or those denied it put to pain of death for any magical attempts made. This has, understandably, made it a city that the grand majority of mages will not even think of visiting.
Amongst Detras' druids and shapechangers the city has another strange note. Animals find no concerns living amongst the people. Perhaps for some unaware of the intricacies of animal senses this would be no surprise, why wouldn't a fox or an elk have trouble living within a city so in tune with nature? Yet for those that can speak to their bestial allies or those that can assume their senses themselves, they are made well aware that to the senses of an animal this city does not exist. The buildings do not smell of brick and the air is not polluted with the scent of people.

Aetlos Fántasma, The Man that Never Existed
Even during his rise to short prominence there was very little known about this shining smiled man. He's jovial, friendly, quick to laugh, and always willing to make conversation. Yet at the same time he's been known to seem distant, quiet, and very quick to leave social events.
His rise to popularity was during his time as a senator in Olsiri in his younger years. He was an outspoken and confident voice that was brimming with cheeriness and sophistication. Many expected him to take an attempt at the seat of Consul, but he never did.
He attended every social event, sweet-talked his way into every private conversation. He was always the talk of those that saw him but somehow he never left a lasting impression.
As years went by people in Olsiri began to realise just how long it had been since they last saw Aetlos... But wasn't he at that Assembly gathering last week? No, he was at that Vardos display, wasn't he?
The man's reputation slowly shifted from 'he who was everywhere', to 'he who can't have been there... Right?' Many reputable people make many claims of Aetlos being with them, shaking their hands, drinking with them, dancing with them. Yet too many overlap to be true and the man himself never comments.
In current years Aetlos has publicly stepped down from his position as senator in Olsiri, becoming a far more private individual. Yet even then there are quite a many stories of his public life that people just have to assume aren't true.
The weirdest part is that officially he's a senator in Detras now, but how can that be if he's never left Olsiri?
