Mirror Of Revelation

Truthseeker's Eye

Description

A perfectly round silver mirror with intricate patterns around its ceramic and gemstone edge. While at first one would assume this to be a relic of The Moon due its choice of metal and circular design, it was in fact created specifically to counter his follower's disguises by Suróza, Goddess of Discovery.   With the power to see through and even remove all forms of trickery, this mythical mirror is highly sought after by all folk worried about shapeshifters infiltrating their domains as well as worshippers looking to uncover ancient secrets hidden by magic.

Mechanics

Reflections of Truth

The Mirror grants a form of Truesight which can only be seen within its reflections. For example, a changeling, lycanthrope, or illusory wall may be perfectly disguised in the real world, but their true forms can always be seen upon the Mirror's silver surface.   A creature shapeshifted or shrouded in illusions who is aware of the Mirror's power may attempt to fool it, rolling a DC 19 Charisma (Deception) check. If they succeed, they are immune to this property of the Mirror for 1 hour. If they fail, they instead have disadvantage on the saving throw against the Reveal Thyself! property for 1 hour.

Reveal Thyself!

By speaking the Mirror's command word as an action and pointing it at a creature or object, you can force them to make a DC 19 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, they are forced to return to their true forms - ending any illusions or shape changes that are active.   Objects automatically fail this saving throw, removing any illusions or magical alterations hiding their true nature.   Once this property has been used, it cannot be used again until the next dawn.
