Parkour City (working title)
Micheal shifted his weight slightly, trying to get the feeling back in his legs. He'd been a palace guard for a while now and wasn't used to being out in the heat all day like this. He hadn't noticed how soft he'd been getting until he had to work out here with the city guard. Like the lemur standing with him now, Rivet or something, he had to be at least 5 years older and seemed to be handling the heat just fine.
Weymond stretched out his arms and yawned, cracking a few joints and smiling. He leaned his head towards Michael without turning it.
"So, how's life?"
Micheal shrugged slightly, more out of habit than anything.
"Um.. Its.. Hot out?" He asked awkwardly, not really sure how to answer that question. "How.. Is.. Uh.. Life for you?"
Weymond straightened his head back up and scratched it. "Mostly trying not to lose my home at the moment. Heat doesn't bother me much, long as I'm paid to stand around in a uniform." He smiled at Michael, resting a hand on his hilt and rocking slightly from his heels to toes.
Micheal nodded in agreement to that.
"Can't say that’s very different from my own situation. Though I'm used to being on the inside.." He looked up, catching a glimpse of the palace in the distance. "I'm sure it's much more interesting out here though."
Weymond nodded absently, "I like it out here. People are nicer. It's quieter, too. No rich snobs breathing down my neck." He stared forward at nothing in particular.
"Do you like it better in there?"
"It's quieter inside if you ask me. Less running around.. And there's a cute seamstress who smiles at me." He coughed and looked around for suspicious activity to avoid his own thoughts on that.
"Until recently it's been nice."
