Theories about whether or not the moon is a giant floating island.

The moon MUST be a giant albar island too, right? But how did it get so high? Normally islands sink back down if they go too far up in the clouds. Where did it rise from? Can we go see the hole? Pa?

Only vaguely related, but this makes me think about the time years ago when my dad said he overheard a poor child crying one afternoon while out in a park because they didn't want to go to bed yet - they'd seen the moon in the sky and thought it meant bedtime. xD
