TJ's Spooktober 2023 Stubs
A collection of 13 mysterious stubs that I plan on expanding during WorldEmber this year!
This article is a recap of the progress I made during Spooktober 2023!
Event recap
If you've had a peek at my journal you can see that I've been busy setting up this fresh new world!I decided at the very last minute to take part in Spooktober this year and, with only 2 days left, I managed to create 13 stub articles that I can expand during WorldEmber at the end of this year! In order to keep things short and sweet, I decided to write little quotes and excerpts (aiming for 50 words or less). I intend on resetting the date on these so that they'll count towards my WorldEmber progress, but if some of them are too big to count that's okay - I'll expand them anyway!
Stubs created
- Crow: a tiny poem about a murid named Mo and her friendship with crows.
- Incorporeal: a grounding note about the five 'realms' of sensing.
- Thunder: an arbin explaining the history of their arboreal home.
- Eerie: growing concerns of the screaming island floating in from offshore.
- Harvest: a quest to recover rare and powerful magic artifacts.
- Moon: kids ask the real questions. Questions like: "is the moon a giant floating island?"
- Summoning: surrender artifacts in exchange for tax exemption!
- Slither: a proposed trade of magical knowledge.
- Fade: remembering what is now laid in ruins.
- Apparition: were the old bedtime stories true?
- Claw: something has (or had) very big claws...
- Dry: the challenges of living on a floating island.
- Drown: a jar of honey makes a sweet gift!
Upcoming plans
During November 2023 I'll be joining the community in preparing for my favourite event of the year, WorldEmber! I plan on finishing up my world meta, polishing a few more bits on my CSS theme, and maybe prepare some more pixel art header images that I can use across different article templates. I'm also on the lookout for unofficial community challenges! Let me know if you're planning on running one soon :DContents
