After the untimely death of Garren Greymount, the royal advisors to Yondar's throne were left with a difficult decision to make. As crown prince, it was Ronan Greymount's right to take the throne. But Ronan was a young boy of 17 at the time. The advisors were afraid that his inexperience and youth would cause a great deal of trouble throughout the kingdom. They much preferred that Ronan's uncle, Anders Greymount, take the throne - at least until Ronan was a little older and wiser to the cruelty of the world.   Anders ended up being the one to persuade the advisors that Ronan was ready to take on the responsibility of being king and leading the kingdom. It was a hard fought battle, but in the end the advisors gave in, for the longer they spent arguing, the longer Yondar spent without its king. Ronan became the youngest king to sit on Yondar's throne and would seek the advice of his uncle Anders for the first four years of his reign.
